Dubai Metro Black Line
The Dubai Metro Black Line is a possible route to connect the trunk of the Palm Deira island with the Green Line and Red Line at Union Square station in Deira. Information based on one report in MEED Business Digest 29 August 2008 about the Dubai RTA preparations for a tender for design of the Black Line. No further information about plans or construction details made public since then. A possible completion date is 2020 but as progress on the Palm Deira is limited or suspended in 2009, it seems unlikely that plans for an Black metro line will move forward anytime soon.
