• Almost all post offices are closed on Fridays (except for Dubai CPO in Karama, and Dubai Airport airside).

Post Office opening times in Dubai

• Post offices in Dubai (and other emirates) are closed on Fridays and public holidays. Post office names in bold might be open Friday afternoon or evening and/or public holidays - check a Dubai newspaper for details of post office times the day before public holidays start.
• Collection of mail from PO Boxes should be available 24 hrs per day. Collection of large packets and registered mail depends on post office timings.
• Ramadan opening hours are different - something like Saturday-Thursday 9am to 1pm, 4pm, or 5pm with some offices open also from 9pm to midnight or 1am. Post offices that are normally open on Fridays should be open 9pm to midnight or 1am on Fridays during Ramadan.

24 hour post offices

• Dubai International Airport PO in the departure terminal, after clearing customs and immigration.
• Emarat petrol station (the green & blue one) on Al Wasl Rd in Dubai (near the Jumeirah Post Office) is open 24 hours and has some postal services. Update December 2008: the service station no longer offers postal services.
