The One Dubai furniture shop

The One is a Dubai furniture shop which first opened in Dubai on Jumeira Beach Road in Jumeirah 1, next to the Jumeirah Mosque. It's a good spot for a one stop shop to stock your apartment or villa with furniture if you're happy to pay a bit more than at somewhere like IKEA (assume prices are double), for which you'll get assembled furniture of better quality, and there is a more fashionable and stylish range of products. There's also a decent enough coffee shop there, and a couple of other stores have restaurants.

The One expansion plans

• Emirates Business 24-7 published an interview with the Founder and CEO of The One, Thomas Lundgreen, on 10 December 2009 in which he said "Yes, we are expanding in Saudi and Lebanon next year."

• As of December 2009, The One has 14 stores in the Middle East, with annual revenue of more than AED 370 million ($100 million).
