Umm Suqeim 1 community district

Umm Suqeim 1 (US One, US First) is a community area in the city of Dubai, part of the district of Jumeirah. Significant landmarks in US 1 include Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC), and Jumeirah Fishing Harbour. The suburb is mostly villas and town houses for wealthier residents of Dubai.

Geography and access

[J1] Jumeira Rd, Beach Rd, and Jumeirah Beach Rd all refer to the same road.

Umm Suqeim 1 lies between the communities of Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim 2, and on the other side of Al Wasl Road is the community of Al Safa 2. The NW side of US1 faces the ocean.
Umm Al Sheif Road runs between Jumeirah 3 and US1. It continues to join Sheikh Zayed Rd (SZR) (Dubai-Abu Dhabi highway) at exit 46). Getting on to the motorway is only possible in Abu Dhabi direction, and exit from SZR only from Sharjah direction.
Jumeira Road (Jumeirah Beach Rd) runs through US1 near the coast.
Al Wasl Road runs between Umm Suqeim 1 and Al Safa 2 communities.
Al Manara Road runs between US1 and US2, provides access to and from Sheikh Zayed Rd in both Abu Dhabi and Sharjah directions via a cloverleaf interchange (exit 43), also Al Quoz areas on the other side of SZR.

Landmarks

Since the renovation of Jumeirah Fishing Harbour, there are a couple of restuarants, shops and cafes making it worth a visit there. Otherwise not much from a tourist or visitor perspective but there are also cafes and restaurants along the Beach Road.

Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) - yacht and boat club restricted to members and guests. Has restaurant which serves alcohol (cheaper than most bars in Dubai).

Hardees and KFC, both drivethru, near DOSC.
Local Bites Cafe - one of the few Emirati themed restaurants or cafes in Dubai. On Beach Road, in the Ajman Bank building, ground floor.
