Burj Dubai facts and figures (now called Burj Khalifa)

The Burj Dubai was renamed as Burj Khalifa, in honour of Sheikh Khalifa, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, at the opening ceremony on 04 January 2010. Height of the Burj Khalifa was revealed as 828m.

Tallest of the Tall

Burj Dubai fulfils all three criteria for tall buildings of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). The CTBUH ranks the world's tallest buildings based on 'Height to Architectural Top,' 'Height to Highest Occupied Floor' and 'Height to Tip.'
